And momchefsecrets is my little corner of the internet!
I launched momchefsecrets in the spring of 2016 while I was still juggling preschool drop‑offs and a full‑time job as a project manager in Charlotte. I wanted a place where the chaotic life of a mom could meet the simple joy of home‑cooked meals. The first post was a quick “5‑minute bedtime snack” that I scribbled on a napkin during a school run. Within a year the blog attracted a modest but loyal readership of about 3,000 monthly visitors.
Fast‑forward to today: the site now welcomes over 45,000 unique visitors each month (October 2024 data) and the weekly newsletter, which I started in 2023, has 12,000 subscribers. In 2022 I released my first e‑book, “One‑Pan Wonders for Busy Families,” and it’s been downloaded more than 3,200 times. I’ve also added a searchable recipe index, a seasonal produce guide, and a “Kids in the Kitchen” video series that has racked up 150,000 views on YouTube.
I live in Asheville, North Carolina, with my husband Mark and our two little whirlwinds, Lily (7) and Noah (4). When I’m not stirring a pot, you’ll find me hiking the Blue Ridge, perfecting my sourdough starter, or hunting for vintage cookbooks at the local flea market. One quirky habit of mine? I can flip an omelet with a single wrist flick—something my kids still think is magic.
